# MIMO exterior part designs

These STL concepts extend the supplied V7.4 robot. Units are millimeters. They keep the original part origins and assembly positions. The online preview loads these same files without scaling.

| Part | Designs | Preserved geometry |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Head | Original, Wide, Crown | Front faceplate seating region, lower neck seat, central rear antenna mount |
| Faceplate | Original, Chamfer, Visor | LCD opening and surrounding mounting region, rear seating features |
| Neck | Original, Collar, Ribbed | Central opening, upper/lower mounting regions |
| Antenna | Original, Swept, Paddle | Servo connection and lower shaft |

The LCD preview stays 73.5 x 25.5 mm. Both faceplate alternatives leave every source point in the screen region (x between -40 and 40; y between -7 and 26) unchanged. This preserves the supplied aperture, not just a visual rectangle. The physical display's manufacturer dimensions still need confirmation before producing parts.

## Printing

Choose an orientation separately for each part in your slicer. Head and faceplate need checks for bridging, screen details and clips. Antennas can usually lie flat. Inspect neck supports and fastener features. PLA or PETG, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers and 4 walls are starting settings, not validated production profiles.

These are concept designs. Test-print and check fit, wall thickness, supports, fastener engagement, antenna movement and electronics clearance. Preserving mounting regions and passing mesh checks does not certify any combination's physical fit. No assembled clearance simulation or physical test has been completed.

## Reproduction and validation

Run `python generate_parts.py /absolute/path/to/models/mimo` using Python and NumPy, with `../generate_bodies.py` alongside the folder. The generator refines the supplied surfaces before smooth exterior deformation, recomputes normals and audits the exported float32 STL. `checks.json` records closure, edge winding, connectivity, volume, dimensions and protected region displacement. Original STL files are byte-for-byte copies. Microscopic source facets in the neck are repaired only in the alternatives and recorded separately.
